Jan 29, 2012 - from your experience, do air tite holders work well? I just used to put my silver coins in a ziploc and suck the air out of them. It worked fine but now I have my coins in airtites and in an airtite ziploc bag.

Jan 29, 2012 - I wouldn't trade my air tite's for anything. They protect very well, not only from oxidation but also from dings. When your coin is in the bag you can easily break that bag, damage the coin, scratch it...etc With air tite I'm not afraid of that, I'm not afraid of my friends or family looking at my collection, I dropped my coin once, and its secured. Its worth to spend 80 cents to a $1 for it. Try it and you will never regret it.

Jan 31, 2012 - In my experience not all of them are good. I had some that will just pop open if you grab it wrong, I had some that will crap open if you drop them...etc But the airtites they scratch easy. I think its just peoples preference, what works for you.
